A mum community changes everything.
The curated mama and baby groups.
Let us find your people.
You weren’t meant to do this alone
I'm Leah, mum of Finn (now 18 months). I remember bouncing him at 2am, scrolling through Instagram with one hand. Everyone else seemed to have it figured out - perfect sleeping babies whilst mine screamed unless permanently attached to me. I felt like everyone else had a manual I'd never received.
Sure, I had friends. But none with babies. None who understood why I was crying over a 20-minute nap, or why leaving the house felt like a military operation.
That's when I realised: For centuries, mums had their village. Now? We're googling "is this normal?" at 3am, alone.
Then I found my mum community, all with babies the same age as mine. Everything changed.
Calling Bristol Mamas
Mama Collective creates your crew: 30 local Bristol mums with babies born (or due) within weeks of yours. The mums who will become your people, your lifeline, your friends for life.
Whether you're counting down to your due date or navigating those early weeks, you'll find yourself surrounded by women who truly get it. Real friendships bloom through shared experiences - coffee dates that become your sanctuary, genuine celebrations when your baby hits a milestone, and understanding nods when teething turns everything upside down. These are the mums who bring emergency caffeine when you need it most and provide plenty of laughter when everything goes spectacularly wrong.
Your Bristol mama crew comes with a private WhatsApp group where the real magic happens, first access to local events and meetups, optional emails with advice for your baby's age and exclusive discounts.
Finding your mum crew is hard, but when you've found them, your life changes. Let us find your people.
New and expecting mamas
The first year is a whirlwind - one day you're researching car seats, the next you're googling "why won't my baby sleep" at 3am. This is when you need your people most.
You'll be matched with local Bristol mums whose babies are due or born within 12 weeks of yours. Having mums going through the exact same stages means instant understanding.
Your group becomes your lifeline: coffee dates that save your sanity and friends who show up with wine when the day has been particularly wild.
Why we ask for a donation: Engaged mums create the best communities. Your pay-what-you-want contribution helps cover costs and shows you're committed to showing up during this intense, beautiful first year.
→ Next steps: Choose your donation, then select which group you'd like to join and pop in your details. Once the group is ready you'll get an email with the link to join.
Beyond the Baby Stage
1-2 Year Olds
Every mum deserves her crew. This bigger group is for mamas with babies aged 1-2; precise age-matching is less critical at this stage, though the support and connection remain absolutely essential. Your little ones will love playtime together while you build those vital friendships.
This group has a strong WhatsApp network to connect you with local Bristol mums.
Why we ask for a donation: Engaged mums create the best communities. Our donation-based approach (pay-what-you-want) keeps this community accessible whilst ensuring you're matched with your amazing mama tribe.
→ Next steps: Choose your donation, then pop in your details. Once the group is ready you'll get an email with the link to join.
Toddlers
Every mum deserves her crew - including toddler mums! Toddler life brings its own challenges: tantrums, toilet training, and wondering if you're doing it right. Having other mums going through the same phase makes all the difference.
If there's enough interest, we'll create a Toddler Mama Group for local mums with 2-4 year olds. Sign up below to register your interest and we'll be in touch about creating your toddler mama tribe.

Great news - you've joined a group! They fill up fast once they're open. Once your group is ready (we wait until we have 15-20 mums per group), you'll get an email with the link to join your WhatsApp community and all the details you need to get started.

All mums are Bristol-based. In my experience, mums up to an hour away still saw real benefit from the group, but we want to make sure you're closer than that - so we're keeping it within Bristol. Given the size of each group (up to 35 mums), you'll likely have plenty of mums close by too. Your WhatsApp group is perfect for daily advice and questions, while IRL meetups let you connect face-to-face with mums in your area.

While we carefully match based on location and baby ages, sometimes personalities don't gel - and that's totally normal. If you're not feeling the connection after a few weeks, just reach out and we'll help find you a better fit.

Absolutely welcome! Even experienced mums need their crew, and every baby is different. Plus, your wisdom will be invaluable to first-time mums in your group.

We have groups covering everything from current pregnancy all the way through to 1 year old - that's 6 different groups running right now, so there should definitely be one that fits your baby's age. If you're not sure which group is right for you, just reach out and I'll help you find the perfect match. We also have a separate group for 1-2 year olds, plus a waitlist for when our next toddler group launches!

We see a range of donations. Whatever feels right for you and your circumstances - we do ask for a minimum one-off donation of £5, but you can give more if you'd like to support the community further!

We believe in the power of contribution to create engaged, supportive communities, but we also understand the parenting gig is expensive. If you can't afford to donate right now, email leah@mama-collective.com and we'll work it out - we'll still get you your mum crew without cost. Every mum deserves her people.
